January, new wool and unfinished projects

We are nearly at the end of January already. The weather has been a crazy mixture of snow, ice and now warm rain over the last few weeks.  I have found it hard getting into the swing of things after Christmas. I don’t seem to be able to settle on one WIP (work in progress).

C2C graphgan - this is a fun project for my son, George but requires a lot of concentration lots of colour changes and following a chart.

Doll pattern testing - I have been testing Mam's latest doll pattern which has been fun but for some strange reason the clothes are working out too small for my doll. I think I need to redo them using a bigger hook.

Bag pattern testing - at the weekend I decided I needed a project that didn’t require so much concentration so I started testing a bag pattern.  I have absolutely loved working on this bag, and it has crocheted up really quickly.  The knit stitch is a technique I have not done before, I found it tricky to do at times but just love the finished result.

Hand dyed yarns - We have been planning to produce our own hand dyed yarns, natural and acid dyed for a long time but haven't had a massive amount of time so far.  We have a number of yarns available which have been dyed using onion skins, blackberries, turmeric, tansy and elderberry.

These products are some oddments which will be only available once.  More coming soon.....
