Crochet Vans and Workshops

Hi I hope you are all safe and well this morning we are supposed to have storms coming today.

NEC Birmingham

Our stand was positioned near 2 wonderful ladies called Grans on the run, they were fundraising for the Martha Trust. They had covered a car in knitting and crochet and driven it to Rome. At this show they wanted to cover a camper van, watching their progress was fascinating, first they cover the van in fabric, then attached knitting and crochet pieces to the fabric, Louise and I crocheted some flowers, shells and seahorses in our quiet moments. Many people stopped to knit and crochet with them during the weekend. They worked tirelessly all day every day, doing interviews, chatting to people, having their pictures taken and adding the fabrics to the van. It made us feel tired just watching their progress every day. On the Sunday they made it!!!! Well done Jill and Pat, as well as your helpers and all the people who stopped to add something to the van. we really hope that you did well fundraising and long may it continue xxx

I have been trying different days and trying to work out which days would be the most popular.

I finished the Plaited Scarf and the wrist warmers pattern for Homefarm Wensleydales that I was working on last week, I will be crocheting another pair soon as samples for them using their yarn.

I also made a koala bear from Louises first design using Tunisian crochet to test the instructions

I don't think that mine looks was cute as hers though...

I think I added his legs the wrong way round oops........

Last weeks free pattern

Has anyone worked one yet, we would love to see your pictures please send them to us if you don't mind us using them on this site and Pinterest.

It is getting late I guess I better go and get my shower, I have been up bright and early this morning to get on with my work, it is still dark.

I am going to do computer work this morning, I am still on catch up with the bookkeeping and still have some designs to type up..

It really is never ending, very good to keep busy though, I am not having my helper today Louise is not feeling well, so is staying home to rest.

Keep warm and crochet
