British Wool Show 2018
Hello, Mam and I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who visited our stand at the British Wool Show this year. We also got the chance to meet lots of other stall holders and makers.
Show prep and car packing
Poor Mam had to do all of the sorting and packing for the show because it is the school holidays I was looking after the boys. I am always amazed how much stuff she can manage to squeeze into the car. Tables, chairs, trolley, big S hooks, bags, calculators, float, boxes, shop samples, card machine, table cloths, patterns, all the stock and our luggage. She really thinks of everything!
Venue and set up
The show this year was held at the York Auction Centre in Murton near York. There wasn't much traffic so we got there in good time. My favourite part of a show is setting up the stand. We do take a while to set up and organise everything, I don't think our stand will ever be minimal :-)
The wool show ran for two days, Friday and Saturday. We always seem to get there really early in the mornings which is nice to make any finial touches to the stand and also have a look around all the other stands and talk to other stall holders.
Once the show ended packing up time is always a bit manic, and it was a bit of struggle packing everything back into the car but we managed and looking forward to next year.
