Holiday Pictures, Frogging and Free Patterns
Cloudy and dull start to the day today, but it is only 7.15am so it may get better.
If you don’t know what frogging is. It is making up your mind to pull something out that you have started, this week my bit of frogging was the sock I started on holiday, sadly it is one I was enjoying making and it was a bit too small. Out it has come I will start it again when I need something else to make.
I seem to have lost my designing head for a bit, but I am still on a mission to type up all the bits of notes that I have in the hundreds of notebooks I have been using. Hopefully that will help to clear my mind for more new ideas. I have done a few and that has helped a bit to clear the little grey cells.
Continuing the idea that crochet and knitting can travel here are some more pictures of me out and about on holiday. Phil was determined to get pictures of me everywhere we went, I have not had my picture taken so many times, secretly I have quite enjoyed this new plan.
This week I have been working on a few more squares for the knitted blanket, I now have an idea of where I am going to use it and it will not just be going in a cupboard, I am going to get it finished. I am going to leave it in the car to use to sit on when we are out and about, some of the pebbly beaches and rocks I was sitting on were a bit uncomfortable. See beach picture above….. Also on cold days when I stay in the car I can use it to keep warm……
It is a lovely simple online free pattern from Purl and Jane in Skipton
My pile of squares getting bigger.
I have just added this pattern to our website it can be worked in different thicknesses of yarn and is a great pattern to use up all those little bits we all keep just in case we need them….. the picture below shows the size difference when you work in different thicknesses of yarns and change the hook size.
Well that is all for today,
Happy crocheting and knitting.
