Danby, danger and deliveries
Beautiful start to the day, the sun is out and its is looking good.
I have put the bin out and it feels nice and warm already so I started on my washing and feel great.
How it helps to have a bright sunny day to get me working.
Phil and I had a trip out this week there was a little chill in the air, and a cool wind but we set off for Danby on the North Yorkshire Moors, we stopped at the moors centre and had a look at a wonderful exhibition of paintings, photographs, jewellery and glass. We also had a little walk, crossed the train line after the train past us by.. then found this gorgeous blossom. we spent about half an hour taking pictures, it was sheltered from the wind and nice and warm.
This sheep came up to see me as we passed by and posed well for its picture to be taken.
WIP and finishing off
Finally finished Louises new knitting pattern, I really enjoyed working it and hope that the pattern will be ready soon.
I have finished one of the shawls I am making for Homefarm Wensleydales it is all blocked and ready to go.
I will finish the next one soon and will send them both together.
I thought that today I would share with you some of the books from my collection, I love craft books and they cover many different topics from bead weaving, cross stitch, embroidery, lace making to knitting and crochet to name just a few.
Two of the books are by Nicki Trench, Cute and Easy Crochet Crochet with flowers, Cute and easy Crochet and the third one Ruby and Custards Crochet is by Millie Masterton.
These are three modern crochet books I love the feel of the cover and the quality of the pages, all of them have beautiful clear pictures and simple patterns for beginners. If you are wanting flowers and new granny squares these books all have lots to choose from.
All of these books have bright and cheerful projects and I am afraid I can’t choose which one I like the most.
They all have about 30 cute, quick and easy designs and all have beautiful clear instructions and very good pictures.
Gosh what a busy week I have had so far.
Louise and I also packed more kits for the Spring into Wool show our landing is getting very full and a bit dangerous not much space for us to get through.
I may need to move some to the garage soon so that I can work on more.
We also have had a delivery of yarn from Stylecraft to find a home for.
Exciting news we will have the 4 new colours in stock next week ready for the launch on the 8th April.
I think I am ready for my breakfast now and get must get ready for the day, I have a class this afternoon and need to do some ironing.
